Mark Bradley, 64, passed away December 25th after a prolonged illness. Christmas Day was a fitting time for Mark to experience God’s “peaceful release” as he shared his strong faith with everyone he came in contact with. All who knew Mark loved his kind spirit, gentle soul, compassion for others, big smile and wit.
Mark was born November 7th, 1950 to Louis F. and Lucille M. Knafla and was a lifetime resident of St. Cloud. He graduated from St. Cloud Technical High School where he won a scholarship for gymnastics. Mark worked for the City of St Cloud’s horticultural department for a time and was also a licensed barber.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Louis L. Knafla. He is survived by his sisters – Jane (Gary) Schwankl of Centennial CO, Lynn Knafla and Beth Nordmeyer – both of Minneapolis.
The family will hold a private memorial service.

I attended McKinley School, Waite Park, MN. 6th-8th grades with Mark. He was a great athlete, good disposition, just a normal kid. The experiences we shared in those 3 years included the assassination of a President ( John Kennedy), our school burning down, finishing 7th grade in the Waite Park Legion (draining their fountain pop dispenser, gratis), attending 8th grade in Franklin Warehouse #3, and creating memories. God bless the memory of Mark Knafla.
I graduated from Tech High School with Mark and I am so sorry for your loss. But, I agree with you that he is now at peace with our Lord. He was an amazing athlete. I worked on the yearbook so I had the opportunity to attend most sporting events. I can still picture him doing the rings. If heaven is our perfect place, he is having a ball doing all that he loved. Peace to you all who will miss him.
