


Memorial Services celebrating the life of Janet Boos, age 80, of Burtrum will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Upsala. Pastor CJ Boettcher will officiate and burial will take place at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls at a later date. Janet died early in the morning on January 21, 2016 at the Quiet Oaks Hospice House in St. Cloud. There will be a visitation one hour prior to services at the church. Arrangements are being made with Miller-Carlin Funeral Home of Upsala.
Janet was born on April 16, 1935 to George and Marion (Knapp) Watson in Webster, SD. She was raised as a single child and grew up in Minneapolis. After graduating high school, Janet went on to attend 2 years of college. On June 19, 1954, she married Ronald D. Boos and later three children completed their family. Janet worked as a secretary for 30 years for the Minneapolis Public Schools until her retirement in 1996. She and Ronald moved to Burtrum to enjoy retired life and the company of family and friends.
Janet is survived by her husband of 61 years Ron, Burtrum; her children Toni (Dale) Merrill, St. Cloud; Brett (Autumn) Boos, Eden Prairie; Jay Boos, Burtrum; her grandchildren Dawn (Dan) Stahlmann, Tanya Dowell, Mackenzie Boos, Megan Boos, Kelsey Boos; her great-grandchildren Eleanor Stahlmann, Dominick Dowell, Zach Dowell; as well as other family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents George and Marion Watson and an infant sister.
