So sorry for your lost. May Frieda rest in peace.
Our sincere sympathies to the family.
Frieda was such a delightful lady!! Always enjoyed working with her in the kitchen at Our Saviors. May God bless your memories of such a neat lady! Thoughts and prayers for your families!
My sympathies! I never met Frieda but wrote letters to her weekly from the start of the pandemic as visitors have been limited. Although these were one sided conversations she did write back to me once about a month ago through her hospice nurse. She thanked me and told me she was praying for the people I told her about in the letters. I was inspired by her and had hoped to someday stop in for a visit and introduce myself. Now I know when I meet Frieda it will be in heaven, I can’t imagine a more special place for that to happen. I rejoice with her now that she’s with Jesus.
Peace- Ann Tighe
I remember Frieda with much joy. She was related to my Mom, Wyanda , I SO enjoyed talking to her when she came to church – such a special, lovely, Lady. She is surely in Heaven now. Many thought and prayers for all those who will miss her.
I grew up in the area of Harold & Frieda’s farm and although we didn’t interact with them a lot, I knew them to be the same stalk of hard working, fun loving people that lived in the area. As a kid, when I did encounter Frieda at Al & Bernice’s house or intown or at one of the mock weddings that were so popular then, I always came away with the “Good Person” rating… that simple evaluation that kids, like dogs can sense about people. She is definately in the “Good Person” category and I’m sure she retains that ranking in heaven. Many years later, during a trip back to Albany to visit my Mom (Rose Fuchs), I had taken my Mom to church on a Sunday morning and she wanted to stop for a pancake breakfast at the VFW after church. We ran into Frieda and Bernice at the door of the VFW and we all sat together. It was enlightening, humorous and entertaining to listen the three ladies reminisce about their past, raising families on the farm, events that happened in the area, people they knew and to give a thorough ranking and rating of everyone in attendance at the breakfast. This is a right that ladies that reach this age have and an obligation that must be carried out. I was glad to be part of it and like the “Good Person” rating that Frieda gets, it was a “Fell Good” moment in my life made possible by these three wonderful women. RIP Frieda.
