To Joan and and Steve’s family, I want you to know how much Steve meant to me as a teacher in Quincy. Steve was my favorite teacher and my two years in the graphic arts program taught me more than a skill. I’ve thought often about him over the years and am so sorry to hear of his passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time.
To Joan Murphy: Joan, you have our condolences. I’m sure Steve would agree that the years spent at the New Quincy Area Vocational Center were the best years. We were very busy but a lot was accomplished. I recall the many “share the ride” trips he and I had while taking classes at Macomb or other places. Anne and I remember the family times together, like at Ken and Nancy Blum’s lake. God bless you and the family. P.S. I have tried to send this message to you through the Whig.com. but don’t know if I succeeded or not.
While there are no words or actions that will take away your pain, we hope you are surrounded by much love and support at this difficult time. May the light from God’s Word be a guide and comfort through the darkness of your loss (2 Corinthians 1:3,4)
