


Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Paul Lee Reed, age 66 of St. Cloud will be at 12:30 PM, Friday, May 23, 2014 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud. Burial will take place at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls. Paul passed away at his home on Saturday, May 17. There will be a visitation from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Thursday, May 22, at the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home of St. Cloud and again after 11:30 AM, Friday at the church prior to the service. Arrangements are being made with the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home of St. Cloud.Paul was born on March 27, 1948 to Edward and Dorothy (Wolters) Reed in Gaylord, MN. Paul graduated from Mankato High School. He was a Navy veteran, serving during Viet Nam. He married Cindy Marka on November 2, 1974 in Mankato. They lived in Mankato, MN, Idaho and then moved to St. Cloud. Paul was employed as a correctional officer at the Minnesota Correctional Facility for Men in St. Cloud and he also worked as a custodian at St. Cloud State University.Paul was an active volunteer at the V.A. Hospital for over 20 years. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and he especially liked Alaska. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and outdoorsman. Paul enjoyed riding motorcycle, spending time with this family and friends and enjoying a cold beer. He was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church and the D.A.V.He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Cindy, St. Cloud; children, Jody “Joe” (Lynn) Reed of St. Cloud, Ty (LeeAnn Loehr), Kimball; Laurie (Kirk) Smith, St. Cloud; Kristie (Chris Young) St. Cloud; 11 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild and 8 siblings.He is preceded in death by his parents Edward and Dorothy Reed.
