Wilfred “Willie” F. Schmitt

Age: 75 April 30, 1939 – November 21, 2014 A Memorial Service celebrating the life of Wilfred “Willie” F. Schmitt, age 75, of Paynesville, will be at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at the St. Martin Parish Hall in Saint Martin.  Willie passed away on November 21st at the St. Cloud Hospital.  There will be a gathering for friends and family from 1:00-3:00 PM at the parish hall.  Arrangements are being made with Miller-Carlin Funeral Home in Albany. Willie is survived by his wife of 44 years Kathleen; his children Tim (Amy) Schmitt of Albany, Bryan (Sheila) Schmitt of Paynesville, Bonnie (Eric Woodard) Schmitt of Foley, Danny (Caroline) Schmitt of Paynesville; his siblings Joe (Delores) Schmitt, Fr. Silverius Schmitt OSB, Mildred Dingman, Louise Schmitt, Sr. Claire Schmitt OSB, Sr. Mariam Schmitt OSB, Eleanor (Don) Otremba; his 11 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Peter and Mary; his siblings Fr. Urban, Bernice, Melvin, and Arnelda.
