Thomas F. Homan of St. Joseph, MN, passed away August 20th, 2026 at age 76. Tom was born in Montevideo, MN. After graduation in 1967 from Richfield High School, he enlisted in the Army during the Vietnam war and served in Germany and Vietnam. After his honorable discharge from the Army, he served as a police officer in Montevideo and Paynesville, then Deputy Sheriff with Stearns County. He retired April 30, 2001 after 24 years with the department. Tom was a passionate woodworker who made many beautiful pieces but was especially proud of the flag cases, which he has given to many Veterans returning from foreign service or honor with a Burial flag to use in the future.

Tom was preceded in death by his wife of 26 years, RoseAnn K. Homan, who passed away April 8, 2026 at Quiet Oaks surrounded by the care, Tom remember dearly. Preceded by nephew Jonathan T. Homan, father Thomas L. Homan, mother Alice P. Homan (Herrlich), and three beloved dogs Jake, Rex and Sahmi. He is survived by sister Mary E. Wegmeyer, niece Jessica M. Wegmeyer (Jeremy), chosen family members, many friends in the St Joseph community and St Cloud VA, whom he shared his witty personality and smile and the Minnesota woodworking community.

Celebration of Life for the Homans will be held September 18, 2026 at Millstream Park in St Joseph, MN (750 CR 75) from 3-8 pm with internment at the State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls, MN.
