Ross Landwehr, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on October 14, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on March 31, 1959, in St. Cloud, MN, Ross was the beloved son of the late Bruno and Agnes (Hoag) Landwehr.
A service to honor Ross's life will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter, located at 930 31st Avenue N, St. Cloud, MN 56303. Friends and family are invited to gather in celebration of a remarkable man who touched so many lives from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at Miller-Carlin Funeral Home, located at 3013 Roosevelt Rd, St. Cloud, MN 56301. Arrangements are entrusted to Miller-Carlin Funeral Homes.
Ross's life was a testament to dedication and love. He graduated from Tech High School and went on to serve his country with pride as a member of the United States Marine Corps. Upon returning home, Ross pursued a degree in auto body repair, a field he worked in briefly before finding his true calling as a machinist at DeZURIK, where he dedicated 36 years of his life.
On July 14, 1979, Ross married the love of his life, Donna Koopmeiners, at St. Peter's in St. Cloud. Together, they built their dream home in Clearwater, MN, and raised four wonderful children, instilling in them the values of hard work, kindness, and family. Ross and Donna's enduring love was a beacon of strength and joy, celebrating 46 years of marriage.
Ross was a man of many passions. An avid reader, he found solace in the pages of literature. He enjoyed art and drawing and absolutely loved to see anything his grandkids made. He also enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, such as playing cards, observing the beauty of nature, and most importantly, spending cherished moments with his grandchildren: Colton, Isabelle, Elizabeth, Courtney, Bentley, Brooklyn, Olivia, Wyatt, and Alexa who lovingly nicknamed him “Grampy Pants”. His gentle spirit and warm heart left an indelible mark on each of them.
Ross always had a project going from mowing the lawn, which was always a 3-5 day project, tinkering in the shop creating or resurrecting old equipment from the dead even if it meant spending way more than it would be worth.
He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Landwehr, and their children: Sarah (Jeremy) Shegrud, Jason (Ann) Landwehr, Eric (Savannah) Landwehr, and Brandon. Although his parents, Bruno and Agnes, have predeceased him, their legacy continues to live on through Ross and his family. Ross is also survived by his siblings, Phillip (JoAnne) Landwehr, Clayton (Marsha) Landwehr, David (Colleen) Landwehr, Eileen (Greg) Nelson, Miles (Deborah) Landwehr, Mark (Debbie) Landwehr, Barbara (Ken) Preusser, Ernest (Nancy) Landwehr, Yvonne (Mike) Leedahl, Karen (Dan) McCarl, and Jeff (Cheryl) Landwehr.
Ross was taken suddenly from this earth, but his spirit remains alive in the hearts of those who knew him.
Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers
Ross will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love, strength, and kindness will forever remain a guiding light for those he leaves behind.
