Marion A. (Richards) Miller

The celebration of the life of Marion Arlene Miller will be on Tuesday, May 27th, from 1-4 PM at the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home in St. Cloud. Marion passed away on May 23, 2025, in the comfort of her home with family by her side.

Marion was born on July 7, 1936, to Ray and Carolena (Wagner) Richards. She grew up in St. Cloud, where she graduated from Technical High School. She met her husband, Jim Miller, and they were married on December 5, 1959. Together, they raised four children: Tim (Theresa Kelly), Dan (Sandy Bromenschenkel), Melanie (Bob) Plombon, and Lezlie (Bill) Carlin. Marion had 14 grandchildren and was the proud great-grandma to one sweet little boy.

Marion enjoyed spending many years actively raising her children, driving them to all of their activities and cheering them on at their events. She was a true example of an excellent wife and mother who prepared amazing meals and managed the household. Marion was best known for her artistic talent. She has painted hundreds of pieces for family and friends. Her whimsical, colorful style was enjoyed by many. When Marion wasn’t painting, she loved using her quick wit to solve word puzzles and games. She also thoroughly enjoyed a good book. Marion’s love and affection will be greatly missed by all those who knew her, especially her family. She filled those around her with joy.

She is survived by her four children, 14 grandchildren, one great-grandson, and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jim Miller, her parents and her seven siblings; Vern, Dick, Delbert, Dale, Betty, Vi Richards, and Arlie James.

The family would like to thank the St. Croix Hospice for their attentive care. They would also like to particularly thank her live-in caregiver, Mary Carlin, for her amazing care and dedication to Marion over the past year. With Mary’s help, Marion was able to fulfill her wish to stay in her home…and occasionally enjoy a Jamocha Shake!
