Memorial Services celebrating the life of Martha K. Schlicht, 104, of Freeport will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Freeport. Father Roger Klassen, OSB will officiate and burial will take place in the parish cemetery. Martha passed away peacefully Thursday evening at Pine Villa Nursing Home in Melrose. There will be a visitation after 9:30 AM until the time of service on Tuesday at the church. Arrangements are being made with the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home in Albany.Martha was born on September 12, 1909 to Henry and Anna (Klier) Ramacher in Albany. She was raised on the family farm with her three siblings. On May 28, 1935, at the age of 26, Martha married Eugene Schlicht in Albany and together they raised two children. She spent her entire life in the Albany and Freeport area. Martha was a member of the Sacred Heart Parish of Freeport.Martha is survived by her children Allyn (Dorothy) Schlicht of Brainerd and Joan Schlicht of Freeport; and her sister Lois Ciliske of Salt Lake City, UT.She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Eugene; her parents Henry and Anna Ramacher; and her siblings Lorraine Zierden, and Melvin Ramacher.
