The Mass of Christian Burial, celebrating the life of Marion K. Weis, age 87 of St Cloud, will be 10:30 AM, Monday, October 31 at St. Marcus Catholic Church in Clear Lake. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. There will be a visitation from 3:00 – 7:00 PM, Sunday at the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home in St. Cloud and again after 9:30 AM Monday at the church in Clear Lake. St. Marcus parish prayers will be at 4:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home in St. Cloud.
Marion was born December 16, 1928 in St. Bonifacious, MN to Felix and Mary (Blasius) Logelin. She married Leon Weis on September 1, 1952 in St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Clearwater. The couple lived and raised their family on their farm in rural St. Cloud. Marion worked at Production Credit after they were first married, then taking time off to raise her children. Later, she worked for St. Cloud School District 742 in the schools kitchens. In the mid 1970’s, she was one of the founders of the Weis Christmas Tree Farm, which is now in its second generation. The most important things to Marion were, Faith, Family, and Farm. She was a member of the St. Marcus Catholic Church, the St. Marcus Christian Mothers and she was part of the Quilters group at the church.
Marion is survived by her husband, Leon, St. Cloud. Her children; Janet (Gary) Kociemba, St. Joseph; Mark (Connie) Weis, St. Cloud; Denise (Chester) Weis-Dean, Sherman, TX; Jean (Robert) Weis-Clough, Little Falls, Rita (Michael) Voight, Blaine; Nick (Jill) Weis, Rice; and Dean (Mary) Weis, St. Cloud. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Mark Kociemba, Nicole Weis , Brye Weis, Brock Clough, Deryk Clough, Rachel Weis, Hannah Weis, and Logan Weis; and her great-grandson, Otto Leon Clough.
Marion is preceded in death by her parents.
