


Mass of Christian burial celebrating the life of Joseph Stegura, age 79 of St. Joseph will be 11 AM, Saturday, March 19, 2011 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Opole. Father Mark Stang will officiate and burial will take place in the parish cemetery following the service. Joseph died peacefully at Country Manor nursing home in Sartell early Wednesday morning. Friends may call from 4-8 PM Friday, March 18 and again from 10-11 AM on Saturday at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Opole. Parish prayers will take place at 8 PM Friday evening at the church. Arrangements are being made with the Miller-Carlin Brenny Funeral Home in Holdingford.Joe was born March 8, 1932 to John and Mary (Wiatrak) Stegura on the farm in Opole. He married Philomene “Phil” Warzecka on May 30, 1951 in St. Wendel. He lived nearly his entire life in the Opole area. Joe was a farmer for 29 years, and worked as a Tool and Die worker for DeZurik for 41 years before retiring in 1994. He was a member of the Holdingford Sportsman Club, the Machinists and Mechanics Union, and was also a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Opole.Joe is survived by his wife Phil Stegura, St. Joseph; his children James (Claudette) Stegura, St. Joseph; Kathryn (Michael) Ruprecht, Opole; Sandra (John) Fink, Cold Spring; Gary (Lori) Stegura, Bowlus; 10 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.He is preceded in death by his parents John and Mary Stegura, his 5 brothers, and 9 sisters.

There will be a visitation from 4-8 PM Friday March 18 at Our Lady of Mt Carmel Catholic Church, and again from 10-11 AM on Saturday morning before the service. Parish Prayers will be at 8PM
