Mass of Christian burial celebrating the life of Jesus Banzon Banson, age 71 of St. Cloud will take place at 10:30 AM Tuesday January 28, 2014 at St. Mary’s Cathedral Church in St. Cloud. Father Jeremy Ploof will officiate and burial will take place in Assumption Cemetery at a later date. Jesus died peacefully Friday evening at the Country Manor Home in Sartell. There will be a visitation from 3PM to 8 PM Monday, January 27th at Miller-Carlin Funeral Home in St. Cloud. Arrangements are being made with the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home of St. Cloud.Jesus was born May 10, 1942 in Hagonoy Bulacan, Philippines to Antonio and Felisa (Banzon) Banson. He grew up in the Philippines and attended 4 years of college. After graduating from college he became a purchasing manager for Monark; he worked there for 20 years. Jesus married Aurora Marfori on September 12, 1964. Jesus and his family moved to St. Cloud and opened the Oriental Cuisine Restaurant in January 1986. The family owned the restaurant until 1993. Jesus was a member of the St. Mary’s Cathedral Church.Jesus is survived by his wife, Aurora, St. Cloud; his sons, Raymond Banson, Massachusetts; Antonio Banson, Eden Prairie; Jovy Banson, Eden Prarie; Albert Banson, Minneapolis; siblings, Bernabe (Norma Laurea) Banson, Connecticut; and Miguela Pascual, Philippines.He was preceded in death by his parents Antonio and Felisa Banson.
