


Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Ervin John Stangler, age 87 of Albany will be 11:00 AM Thursday May 29, 2014 at Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Albany. Father Cletus Connors, OSB will officiate and burial will take place in the parish cemetery. Ervin passed away peacefully with family by his side on Sunday afternoon at the Talahi Memory Care Center in St. Cloud. There will be a visitation from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday May 28, 2014 at the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home in Albany and again after 10:00 AM on Thursday at the church. Parish prayers will be at 5:30 PM and the Seven Dolors Council will pray the rosary at 6 PM at the funeral home Wednesday evening. Funeral arrangements are being made with the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home of Albany.Ervin was born on November 13, 1926 to Anton and Catherine (Duevel) Stangler in Albany, MN. Ervin grew up on a farm outside of Albany and lived his entire life in the Albany area. He married Tina Briddell on July 15, 1961 in Superior, WI. Ervin worked at Electrolux for 40 years as a painter.He was a member of the St. Joseph Society and the Seven Dolors Catholic Church.Ervin enjoyed the outdoors especially fishing and gardening. He also enjoyed spending time with this family.He is survived by his wife, Tina, children, Ken (Amy) Stangler, Blaine; Mark (Carol) Stangler, St. Cloud; Dean (Lisa) Stangler, Alexandria; grandchildren, Amber, Austin, Robert, Amanda, Luke, Megan and Morgan; siblings, Robert (Mary) Stangler, St. Joseph; Marcella (Bonafice) Hallerman, St. Cloud and Tony (Evelyn) Stangler, Albany.He is preceded in death by his parents Anton and Catherine, brother, Lawrence and infant sister, Jilleta.
