A Memorial Service celebrating the life of Bonnie Schoenbauer, age 66, of Saint Cloud will be at 7:00 PM on Friday, April 10, 2015 at the Miller-Carlin Funeral Chapel in St. Cloud. Father Al Stangl with officiate and a private burial will be held at a later date. Bonnie passed away peacefully at her home, with family by her side, on Tuesday, March 3rd, in the early morning. There will be a visitation from 4:00 PM until the time of the service Friday evening at the funeral home. Arrangements are being made with Miller-Carlin Funeral Home in St. Cloud.
Bonnie was born on April 24, 1948 to Herbert and Helen (Simota) Deutsch in New Prague. She grew up with three siblings and graduated from high school. On August 13, 1968, Bonnie married Michael Schoenbauer in New Prague. They were blessed with two children, Scott and Tammy, and raised them in Granite Falls and Wilmar, before finally settling in St. Cloud. Bonnie was the Assistant Vice President of Security Savings and Loan until the early 1990s. She then worked in the billing and insurance office at Central MN Mental Health until her retirement around age 62. Bonnie and Mike were very devoted to family and created lasting memories of the many weekend camping trips they took over the years. She enjoyed camping, spending time at the lake, flower gardening, and in her later years, growing herbs. One of her favorite pastimes was taking trips to the casino. Bonnie was a voracious reader and especially loved books by Nora Roberts and Danielle Steele. She adored her grandchildren and was very involved in their lives, like a second mother. Bonnie would tell them stories of their own mother, do puzzles with them, take them to appointments, spend time with them … simply put, she loved them. She was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud.
Bonnie is survived by her husband of 46 years Michael; her children Scott (Lisa) Schoenbauer, Florida; Tammy (Jason) Hooper, St. Cloud; her siblings Susan Struthers and Gerald Deutsch; 4 grandchildren; and many other friends and family.
She is preceded by her parents Herbert and Helen, and her brother Thomas Deutsch.

So sorry to hear of Bonnie’s passing away. I am her first cousin and would babysit Bonnie and her siblings back in New Prague. She is now in the hands of the Lord and is now with her parents and brother. May she rest in peace. May God Bless your family at this time of sadness.

Mike and Family,
Please accept my deepest sympathy. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. It’s been a long time since I saw Bonnie. I worked and played with her when we were young and single. She was one of the most energetic people I ever met. I will keep her in my prayers as well as you and your family.
Blessings to you. Mariann

Mike and Family, Death cannot cripple the love you have in your hearts or shut out the memories you gathered. Bless you all, Judy
Dear Mike and family,
Bonnie loved you all so much. Her grandchildren were her passion. There is comfort in knowing how well you took care of her and how much she hated to let go of you. Much love, Susan
